Day 01: Arrived to Kathmandu

Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, Nepal Intrepid Treks will be your trustworthy travel companion until you depart for your home country. We will accommodate our valued customers in three star hotels in Kathmandu. We take care of the room and breakfast of our valued customers during their stay in Kathmandu Valley.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

In Kathmandu Valley our customers to the landmark sight of Kathmandu. Our experienced guide will take you to Kathmandu Durbar Square which holds the political and historical values in Nepalese civilization. Apart from Kathmandu Durbar Square, we take our customers to Swayambhu Nath Temple (Monkey Temple) which is the symbol of Harmony between Buddhists and Hindus from the very place we can get the splendid view of Kathmandu Valley and its outskirts. Furthermore, we take you to Pashupatinath Temple which is the holy place for Hindu devotees and the holy cremation area which might interest you.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla(2850m) then trek to Phakding(2650m) – 3 hours

The Lukla airport often called as Tenzing Hillary Airport is the world’s most dangerous airport. The thrill of landing in such an airport is an added experience to make. From Lukla the Trek begin to Phakding. Phakding is a small village in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It lies in the Dudh Kosi river valley just north of Lukla and south of Monjo, at an altitude of 2,610 m. In this part of the trek we reach to Jorsalle which is the entry point of the Sagarmatha National Park where entry permit will be checked.

Day 04: Trek to Namche(3443m) – 6 hours

The journey from Phakding to Namche is very pleasant and full of wilderness adventure. The amazing bridge of Larpche will definitely thrill you before uphill trek to Namche. It is located within the Khumbu area at 3,440 metres (11,286 ft) at its low point, populating the sides of a hill. Namche is considered as the Sherpa Capital and the major trading place of Khumbu region.

Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche – 4 hours

The acclimatization process takes place in Namche Bazzar by taking short day hiking or relaxing by roaming around in the Namche itself. According to health experts the trekkers should always move while relaxing and acclimatizing in the altitude. So, we take our fellow trekkers to either short hiking or walking in and around Namche before setting up for the further trek. Trekkers can hike to the world’s highest placed hotel “The Everest View hotel” from where you can see the spectacular view of the Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Khangtega and other panoramic views of snow capped mountains. The Khangtega mountain is unique on its geographical setting as it resembles the back pack of Horse riding.

Day 06: Trek to Tengboche(3880m) – 6 hours

After getting acclimatized we set off to Tengboche after early morning breakfast. The trail towards Tengboche is composition of uphill and downhill. It contemplates the trekkers with the majestic views of Mount Everest up close along with Mount Ama Dablam. The ups and downs in the trail gives our soul and body the ultimate challenge. The serene smell of pine forests and swift white river besides the trail makes the trekking tiredness to vanish. We will have the lunch on the way.

Day 07: Trek to Dingboche(4450m) – 6 hours

We begin our walk by descending through forests of birches, conifers and rhododendrons to a lovely village of Deboche. After crossing the Imja Khola on a swaying bridge high above the rushing river, the trail climbs past some magnificently carved Mani stones and rhododendron forest to Pangboche at 4000m. Pangboche is the crossroad to the Amadablam Base Camp Trekking as well.

Day 08: Acclimatization day in Dingboche and Hike to Nagarsan Hill(5100m) – 4-5 hours

A slow ascend is very important for acclimatization. Our stop in Dingboche is designed to allow our bodies to adjust to the thinning air of the mountain due to increase in altitude. A good way to spend the day is to hike to the Nagarsan Hill at the height of 5100m from where we can enjoy the spectacular view of the Himalayan range. We can enjoy the magnificent view of Island Peak (6189m), south face of Lotse, the giant of Ama Dablam and Mount Makalu(8030m). The hike should help the body acclimatize effectively for more challenging days of the trek. After enjoying the beautiful view, we return to spend our second night at Dingboche.

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche(4910m) – 5 hours

Upon this juncture our trail starts to step higher up in the mountains slowing leaving behind the khumbu glacier. On the way we will see the memorials of many mountaineers who died while trying to conquer the mount Everest. The cemetery marks the memorial of the famous climber like Scott Fisher, Rob Hall and other climbers. The air starts to become thinner from here on wards as we pass the pumori, khumbutse, mahalangur himal(mountain) along with the Nuptse smiling on our right.

Day 10: Trek to Gorekshep & day EBC(5364m) then back to Gorekshep(5180m) – 8 hours

From Lobuche to Gorekshep we start to see the north ridge of Everest along with Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, etc. Little walk down would take us to Thangma Riju from where we can have the glory of 360 degree sight of snowy mountains. Climbing steeply up to the top through the torrent of Changri Glacier, we catch our first glimpse of Kalapatthar, a grey-green knoll beneath the Mt. Pumori. As we reach Gorekshep, we will find snow-capped mountains looming all around us including the top of the world – Mt. Everest. After a brief lunch and rest, we take the trail to Everest Base Camp through the once vast Gorekshep Lake. Upon arriving here we will be greeted with the lots of colorful tents of people vying to conquer the Mt. Everest if your trekking falls within the climbing season. At this very juncture we can feel relaxed that we have achieved our ultimate goal.

Day 11: Hike to Kalapatthar(5545m) for sunrise then Trek to Dzongla(4800m)  – 7 hours 

Day 12: Trek to Dragna(4700m) via Chola Pass(5420m) – 8 hours 

Day 13: Trek to  Gokyo lake(4750m) then explore to Gokyo Valley – 3 hours 

Day 14: Hike to Gokyo Ri (5360m) in early morning then trek to Dole – 7 hours

The hiking of the Gokyo Ri presents the best 360 degree view of the mountains. View of the Choyou, Pumori, Changtse, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Taboche, Thamserku, Kang tega, Kusum Kangaru, Phari Lapche and other glaciers. The shadow of the Phari Lapche in Gokyo Lake is magnificent.

Day 15: Trek to Namche – 5 hours

The journey from Gokyo to Namche in itself is a magical moment. As the journey altitude decreases the joy increases. Don’t think that the way is same and the view will also be same. It is always different when coming back even if the trail is same. Your trekking guide will brief you regarding the differences in the viewpoints of the same landscape too. Enjoy your trip back to Namche.

Day 16: Trek to Lukla – 7 hours

At this juncture we will have fun while trekking with some songs on popular Nepali folk tunes, we will share the pictures that we took and the memories that we cherished. Upon reaching Lukla we will give rest to our mind and body.

Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu

We head back to Kathmandu and as earlier the accommodation will be provided along with the breakfast in a three star hotel in Kathmandu. On spare day you can roam around Thamel or other major touristic areas at Kathmandu and do some shopping.

Day 18: Leisure day in Kathmandu

This day is for you to roam around the Kathmandu. You can indulge yourself in shopping around Thamel or moving around. You can also visit our trekking office for the further future trip details.

Day 19: Farewell
