The usual trekking in Everest region of Nepal starts from the Kathmandu to Lukla mountain flight. The usual route put forwarded by the various Trekking in Nepal agencies would be followed by us also until Namche Bazaar however from this place once acclimatization is done we will trek from the Renjo La Pass instead of the Kong Ma La Pass. The reason behind starting the Everest Three High Pass Trek from Renjo La instead of Kong Ma La Pass is because this pass is relatively easy than the remaining two passes which will make our trekkers feel acclimatized once they embark towards other two strenuous passes. Once you have passed the Renjo La then the mystical Gokyo ri and world famous high altitude glacial lake Gokyo Lakes would appear on your way.

The night stay in the banks of the Gokyo Lake resembles to that of the stay in the fairyland. The majestic views of the Khumbu glacier and Himalayan range from your hotel room window could be the best highlight of your trek in the Everest region of Nepal. From Gokyo lake the trekking would be towards Chola Pass en route to the Gorakshep. From Gorakshep your trekking would be towards the epitome of the mountains the Mount Everest Base Camp. Day 01: Arrived to Kathmandu

Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, Nepal Intrepid Treks will be your trustworthy travel companion until you depart for your home country. We will accommodate our valued customers in three star hotels in Kathmandu. We take care of the room and breakfast of our valued customers during their stay in Kathmandu Valley.

Day 02:Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

In Kathmandu Valley our customers to the landmark sight of Kathmandu. Our experienced guide will take you to Kathmandu Durbar Square which holds the political and historical values in Nepalese civilization. Apart from Kathmandu Durbar Square, we take our customers to Swayambhu Nath Temple (Monkey Temple) which is the symbol of Harmony between Buddhists and Hindus from the very place we can get the splendid view of Kathmandu Valley and its outskirts. Furthermore, we take you to Pashupatinath Temple which is the holy place for hindu devotees and the holy cremation area which might interest you.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla(2850m) then trek to Phakding(2650m) – 3 hours

The Lukla airport often called as Tenzing Hillary Airport is the world’s most dangerous airport. The thrill of landing in such an airport is an added experience to make. From Lukla the Trek begin to Phakding. Phakding is a small village in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It lies in the Dudh Kosi river valley just north of Lukla and south of Monjo, at an altitude of 2,610 m. In this part of the trek we reach to Jorsalle which is the entry point of the Sagarmatha National Park where entry permit will be checked.

Day 04: Trek to Namche(3443m) – 6 hours

The journey from Phakding to Namche is very pleasant and full of wilderness adventure. The amazing bridge of Larpche will definitely thrill you before uphill trek to Namche. It is located within the Khumbu area at 3,440 metres (11,286 ft) at its low point, populating the sides of a hill. Namche is considered as the Sherpa Capital and the major trading place of Khumbu region.

Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche – 4 hours

The acclimatization process takes place in Namche Bazzar by taking short day hiking or relaxing by roaming around in the Namche itself. According to health experts the trekkers should always move while relaxing and acclimatizing in the altitude. So, we take our fellow trekkers to either short hiking or walking in and around Namche before setting up for the further trek. Trekkers can hike to the world’s highest placed hotel “The Everest View hotel” from where you can see the spectacular view of the Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Khangtega and other panoramic views of snow capped mountains. The Khangtega mountain is unique on its geographical setting as it resembles the back pack of Horse riding.

Day 06: Trek to Thame – 5 hours 

The trekking from Namche is gradual uphill and today’s trekking is about 5 hrs. Thame Village is famous for the Monastery and authentic Sherpa Culture.

Day 07: Trek to Lungden – 5 hours 

The journey is easy and it is also a preparation walk to cross the high passes. The journey is about 3 hrs from Thame. You will rest and relax in Lungden for the strenuous trekking for the next day.

Day 08: Trek to Gokyo lake(4750m) via Renjo la Pass(5360m) – 8 hours 

This is first pass to cross in this three high passes trekking. The pass is full of rocky pebbles and in extreme weather conditions it might be tricky but in normal circumstances it is easier than other two passes. Once you cross the pass the joyous view of Gokyo Valley lets you forget all the pain endured upon coming to this place. The Phari Lapche and its shadow on Gokyo Lake will be the mesmerizing view of the Khumbu region.

Day 09: Hike to Gokyo Ri(5360m) and trek to Dragna(4700m) – 7-8 hours 

Early morning hike of the Gokyo Ri is the magnificent chance to see 360 degree view of mountains. The view of Choyou, Pumori, Changtse, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cholatse, Thamserku, Phari Lapche and other Khumbu glaciers as well can be seen. The the trek moves towards Dragna.

Day 10: Trek to Dzongla(4600m) via Chola pass(5420m) 7-8 hours 

This is the second crossing of the high altitude pass. Upon crossing the Chola Pass the Dzongla appears. This is the best and adventurous pass which requires trekkers to be close with the trekking guide. This is the daunting place on Everest therefore special care should be given.

Day 11: Trek to Lobuche(4910m) – 4 hours 

From Dzongla the journey heads towards Lobuche. The place is actually for the acclimatization to get ready for the Everest Base Camp trekking.

Day 12: Trek to Gorekshep & day EBC(5364m) then back to Gorekshep(5180m) – 8 hours

From Lobuche to Gorekshep we start to see the north ridge of Everest along with Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, etc. Little walk down would take us to Thangma Riju from where we can have the glory of 360 degree sight of snowy mountains. Climbing steeply up to the top through the torrent of Changri Glacier, we catch our first glimpse of Kalapatthar, a grey-green knoll beneath the Mt. Pumori. As we reach Gorekshep, we will find snow-capped mountains looming all around us including the top of the world – Mt. Everest. After a brief lunch and rest, we take the trail to Everest Base Camp through the once vast Gorekshep Lake. Upon arriving here we will be greeted with the lots of colorful tents of people vying to conquer the Mt. Everest if your trekking falls within the climbing season. At this very juncture we can feel relaxed that we have achieved our ultimate goal.

Day 13: Hike to Kalapatthar(5545m) for sunrise then trek to Lobuche – 5-6 hours

The best place to snap pictures of panoramic view of snow capped mountains. The Kalapatthar gives you the lifetime opportunity to witness kissing of morning sun rays at the tip of several mountains including the Mt. Everest. All our tiredness and the hardship would vanish with the majestic scenery that you can see from here. You will feel as if the heaven and earth is actually connected right here. These moments are the most precious part of this trekking. Once you get back to your normal setting the memory of these panoramic views would always motivate you.

Day 14: Trek to Chhukung(4700m) via Kongmala Pass(5545m) – 8 hours 

The final pass of the three high passes trekking is the Kongmala Pass. The journey is little challenging and conserve the energy wasted upon reaching here. The journey follows the ridges and you need to be very agile and careful too. Once you have crossed the Kongmala Pass the village of Chhukung will be reached.

Day 15: Trek to Pangboche (4450m) – 3.5 hours 

The journey then descends towards Dingboche and finally to Pangboche. The journey is joyous.

Day 16: Trek to Namche(3443m) – 5 hours 

Day 17: Trek to Lukla – 7 hours

At this juncture we will have fun while trekking with some songs on popular Nepali folk tunes, we will share the pictures that we took and the memories that we cherished. Upon reaching Lukla we will give rest to our mind and body.

Day 18: Fly back to Kathmandu

We head back to Kathmandu and as earlier the accommodation will be provided along with the breakfast in a three star hotel in Kathmandu. On spare day you can roam around Thamel or other major touristic areas at Kathmandu and do some shopping.

Day 19: Leisure day in Kathmandu

This day is for you to roam around the Kathmandu. You can indulge yourself in shopping around Thamel or moving around. You can also visit our trekking office for the further future trip details.

Day 20: Farewell
